Fuel and temp gauge?

My fuel and temp gauge aint working all the time, they came on for about 10 mins earlier and aint come on since, i tried the obvios ie conections fuse's!
Any ideas?

I would look at the sender units, deck the wire that goes into the units and see if the guages work, if they do then its the sender units, if not then its likly to be a wiring issue, perhaps the loom as been damaged on a sharp edge which sounds more likly since they do come on sometimes.

Then I would check being the dash if the above fails.

Both senders going at the same time is a bit to coincidental, but he chafed wire bit is the way to go they share the same earth wires.
