Front wiper/wash problem.

Hi, my freelander front washer / wiper has just developed an annoying problem. If I use the stalk to operate the washer/wipe or if I press the stalk down for single wipe then the wipers do not return to the park position, they stop as soon as I take my hand off the stalk. Also, if I use the intermittent wipe the wipers operate, but once again they do not return to park position the stop at random positions on the windscreen. Any help would be great.

Same problem here, not got round to sorting it out yet.

Change the relay? You are obviously losing power to the wiper motor before it reaches the park switch.

I have a 2002 TD4 which has covered 235000 miles. Its dispalying the same fault as the original one on this thread, when using the stalk for wash/wipe the wipers come to rest somewhere randomly in the middle of the screen.

Did changing the wiper relay fix the problem for you?
