I did a really stupid thing - yes I'm female.. and blonde!!

The windscreen was covered in snow this evening so I switched on the blades to clear it instead of using an ice scraper. The blades moved for a split second then just seized, stopped working. So that's it, blades won't move at all now.

Does anyone know if I need to replace a fuse - if so, where is it located in the fuse box and what fuse should I use. I'm hoping someone's going to say it will be a fuse and that it's not anything more serious.

Any help would be much appreciated before I go and have a breakdown - seriously nothing's going right in my life - this is the last straw!!

if you look at the fuse box cover it will show a piccy of a windscreen with wipers and tell you where it is and what number it is.It might help if you posted model and year.
Welcome to the forum.

Ok thanks. Will have to check it out tomorrow coz it's too dark and the local wildlife are out on the streets tonight.

Alternatively if it is not a fuse, the windscreen wiper linkage may be broken. This part is £70 from a dealer and takes about twenty mins to swap.

Cheers
