Need some help for a mate of mine,

He has a L322 and recently swaped the 19inch wheels for some 22inch wheels. The guy that he bought them from fitted them but now the front of the car seems to sit about an inch higher than the rear. Am i right in thinking that the car should have been put in jacking mode??? by putting hazzards on and opening boot? or am i miss informed?

Either way is there any way to set the height of the vehicle to get it level again?

Any help appreciated

Mark

Boot and hazards won't inhibit the suspension on the L322, only the bonnet and/or a door will do that!

L322's aren't keen on having their 'legs' dangle as it moves the wiper arm inside the sensor to a position it seldom goes and can cause accumulated dirt to be wiped across the track.

The suspension calibration on the L322 is tyre/wheel rim size dependant, fitting other wheels and tyres may require the system to be recalibrated.

Obviously as long as the rolling radius of the tyre is the same the suspension shouldn't need recalibrating.....the height is measure from the bottom of the wheel rim to the centre of the wheel arch...aslong as this distance remains the same as previous, the system shouldn't require recalibration.

That being said, if the height sensors are giving odd readings, the ECU won't know the correct height to place the vehicle. Also has he cycled the suspension heights down to access and back up again? As sometimes if you uncompress the suspension and put weight back on, it will sit higher until there is a bit of movement in the suspension and she'll settle back down.

Check the measurements and it may be worth getting the suspension recalibrated in any case, that way you'll know it is correct.
