Front shock turret options

Like a lot of bits these are rusted beyond viable repair. Paddocks do galv ones for £13.50 each, so not worth spending time cleaning and painting old ones.
What's the benefit of using those open U shaped ones? Are they just trendy? Seen them somewhere, but can't find them on Paddocks. Off to google

They don't trap mud etc so easily and are easier to clean out with a pressure washer

The previous owner of me disco had never taken a pressure washer to it, i did today and half the turret came out with a lot of welsh mud

The tubular ones are a little wider than the standard cone shaped ones that Land Rover give you, and I found I had to modify the inner wings a little to get them to fit. I'm sure they're somewhere on the Paddocks website because that's where mine came from.

I'll probs just go for the galv ones from Paddocks. Cheers

Plus if you buy shorter ones you get more articulation off road.
