Ok, until I get my hand in my pocket and shell out for a custom steel front bumper with built in recovery points, whats the best option for a bog standard bumper?

Just noticed that the pay & play rules say 'front and rear recovery points' even though the event is also aimed at novices and newbies and any 4x4

got the tow point on the rear for now, which will swap out next year - hd bumper & removable tow ball.

Only got the front lasing eye, didn't think that was up to recovery, or is it enough to keep the pay & play people happy and ask for a tow backwards?

Is there anything I can bolt on as a temp option ?

the cheapest way is to get a couple of jate rings and fit then on the chassis legs. the lashing ring is not strong enough to use as a recovery point under any circumstances let alone on a play day. most play days say "one recovery point" which a tow bar is adequete but if they state 2 then you really need jate rings as a minimum.hope this helps ;)
