Has anyone tried fitting the gen landrover ones? if so what are they like to fit for the Diy'er?

Yep, see my post earlier on in this thread.;)

I tried Bearmach (blue) ones for a while and really didn't like them. I found them more awkward to fit than OE ones and when fitted the ride was harsh and you could feel all the vibrations etc. Junked them and went back to OE which are perfect.:(
You can try the geniuine Polybush which are easier to fit plus you can choose from three different grades, more expensive but you get what you pay for.

Me personally, I will stick to what LR specified as they just work so well.:D

Ok, thanks for yours, and everyone elses input. I will need my ride to be as soft as possible, as occationally I will have a diasbled wife with me who has osteoperosis,(brittle bones) so really could do with it being as softer ride as I can get it! So Think I'll stick with the gen landrover ones. I might just bite the bullet and get a garage to fit them. :)

Been having some clunking from the suspension so have removed the radius arm as the rear bushes looked knackered. Had a really hard time removing the front lower bush bolt. After half an hour of getting nowhere I heated up the bolt with my newly purchased blow torch and off it came. Now to decide whether I should try and replace both lower bushes. They don't look too bad but I have the parts and the time. Bear in mind though that I doing this work in a campsite in the Chilean desert.
