Does anyone know what the following sizes are for (on a 90):

  • Front radius arm width (axle end) - Narrow type
  • Front radius arm width (axle end) - Wide type
  • Radius arm axle bush width - narrow type
  • Radius arm axle bush width - wide type
I've lots of posts, and general googlings saying there are 2 types of arm width but naff all that says what the actual sizes are...

Finally got round to removing a front radius arm, got soggy as fook in the process mind.

sizing up the replacement bush I've found out the insert for the bush is 50mm long but the radius arm bracket on the axle is only 47mm wide...o_O the poly bush itself is fairly loose fit though I'm guessing it elongates once its fitted into the radius arm.

Am I going to have to find a different set of bushes or just take 3mm of the metal insert? the set I have is from the Bearmach BA2072 kit (BSC202PK)

Also, with radius arm off on one side I've chocked that wheel, is it gong to be alright like that? its on a slight slope, nose to the top.

Not sure on polybushes as my disco had a full set fitted and I thought they were awful. My 110 rebuild has all OE bushes. Can you not fit these so you know it fits correctly? Your gap may be tight if somebody has over-tightened the bolts due to worn bushes / incorrect (narrow) bushes in the past.

That would makes sense for a 3mm total difference. I'll have a look if the brackets are still straight tomorrow. The bushes that came off were 47mm across on the insert.

I lack a press for fitting OE bushes and having just removed 2 OEs I'm sticking with polys ;)

Just pop down your local back street garage at lunchtime with your arms and new bushes. And a couple of cans of lager.
