Hi Everyone

My 2000 90 TD5 front brake pads make a clicking sound when I'm driving along, but as soon as I touch the brakes the clicking stops. I did take out the retaining pins and copper slip them and this seemed to reduce the click for a couple of weeks then it returned.

I have searched this forum and apparently STC8575 seems ok - however they are for vented discs. Does this make a difference if my discs are solid?

Any help appreciated (Ive just recovered from replacing the core plugs last weekend - not the easy job advertised!)

Cheers

My 110 rear brakes rattled badly while l was driving along, after l fitted new brake calipers, discs and pads. The noise disappeared as soon as l touched the brake pedal.

l tried all sorts but eventually cured it by fitting a brake pad hold off spring kit designed for a Volvo, and sold by one of the Land Rover spares suppliers.

l will try and find a link to the kit.
