Series 3 Front hub oil seal leaking

I use a tyre lever to bend the tab's over.

I get an old knife behind it if its tight up then use water pump pliers to fold it over. The water pump pliers let you fold it slowly and you can fold two edges if its stopped by a corner not a flat. I only ever do tab washers with pliers if i can get the access.

Personally I have always folded one side back to hold rear nut and another forward for outer nut. Punch for the rearward one big screwdriver to start outer then flattened over with punch

However you do it,one fold in one fold out.

Yes I did half fill the void with grease. I also noticed that one of the bolt holes leads to a hole drilled at an angle into the void. I assume this it to feed oil in after reassembly, so I will put some into the hole before fitting the bolt.

I did attempt do it this way as the one that came out was done.

The hub is now back on. Thanks for the help everyone who contributed.

Unfortunately I still can't move it anywhere. I also found that the rear wheel brake cylinders have both started to drip, so will need to order a pair of those.
