I am busy doing a rebuild of my front axle can anyone advise how difficult it is to replace the bearing and collar that is pressed on the front halfshaft.
I believe easiest way to remove is partially slit them with cutting disc, but do I need a press to fit new ones or could I get away with heating the replacements and tapping into place with a piece of tube.

All done now seperated UJ's [was replacing them anyway] heated bearing and collar in oven to 100deg C used old spacer between a length of 3" pipe and my hammer , the collars where actually tighter than the bearings.
