front footwells

Ok in my 300 series v8 discovery i have found and sorted pretty much all leaks... except for one/or two. when it rains hard i get a puddle in each front footwell.. does anyone have an incling where this leak is so i can block it up

Could be windscreen. Tell me if you find it. I took up the carpets, removed body panels and emptied several tons of silicone into every crack i could find and it still puddles in when it rains.

not windscreen as i had a brand new one put in a few weeks ago with all new seals.

Was the surround in mint condition (no rust) and did you silicone the seals before fitting them?? If not it could well be the windscreen. Door seals and even doors themselves (if drainage holes blocked or membrane removed/split) can let water into the car.

Could be coming in the heating vents. I've soaked my feet a couple times now going through big puddles at speed. Scared the life out of me the first time! It was like someone chucked a bucket of water at my feet.

I had a small leak from above the passenger footwell the water was coming in via the bolts that hold the dash support rail to the inner wing, the area can be seen when the kick panel is removed so can any water stains, all that was required is a dab of black roofing mastic over the bolt heads and around the inner wing-dash support rail bracket-water stain area and the job was done.

I found mine was leaking from the top of the windscreen seal and running down the side channel covered by the windscreen rubber on the outside, injected some silicon and leak cured, took ages to dry the sponge sound proofing, stuff soaked the water up like a sponge

it could be behind the front wings or water is geting in to the A posts have a look!

the bolt that holds the windowscreen washer bottle N/S footwell look up from the wheel, the tyre spays water stright at it.
they are like a ford TW20, leak like a sieve.

I'm feeling left out chaps. This is one fault mine hasn't developed......... yet.

I sorted mine yesterday, the weatherproof shield in the passenger door had come away at the bottom, allowing water to come in above the door seal. I dismantled the front of the truck before finding it lol take the door card off, use that black sealant stuff to bed the plastic shield down, then gaffer tape over the top.
