Hi one and all.
P38 passed MOT on Monday with several advisories to "monitor and replace if necessary" the following:
  • Suspension arm ball joint has slight play Nearside Front Lower
  • Suspension arm ball joint has slight play Offside Front Lower
  • Suspension arm ball joint has slight play Offside Front Upper
  • Anti-roll bar ball joint has slight play Nearside front (Drop Link)
  • Anti-roll bar ball joint has slight play Central front (Drop Link)
I'm looking to get replacements from Maltings 4x4 in Doncaster as I've had excellent after-sales service from them recently, but I'm amazed at the plethora of Manufacturer options they offer.

Please advise which manufacturer to bu from or, more importantly, the ones to AVOID!

Many thanks,
Mike.

Hi Alan.

Not been too clever since stent put in back in May. Had another heart attack since and, despite slowing down a lot and trying NOT to get into further cardio mischief, still having regular chest pain and much breathlessness. Going in on 17th November for further procedure(s) and, hopefully, getting my life back.

Thanks for the advice and I trust that you and the boss are keeping safe and well Alan?
Mike.

Sorry to hear your problems. We're ok,just in isolation from getting back from the Canaries in time for the lockdown :( very scary hospital situation here so we haven't moved. Christmas stock of whisky being depleted but we're ok Take care.

Its always a great feeling to pass a MOT
Take it steady Mike and do what I have done and invest in a good neighbour who loves working on cars and only takes beer as payment. He's a great guy, changed all my air bags and would only take a case of Stella as payment.
Stay safe

Sounds like I need to evict you and squat in your place matey! Stock up on the Stella before I move in though please!

Howard Roberts automotive for the drop links on mine
And MOOG for the Track and Drag links, just because they come with new nuts and the Lemforder didn't ;)

Did all original bushes on mine as well as 2 new cv joints that I’m trying to get done broke 2 cir clips trying have to order more I put on one side but it pulled Out so glad I checked it not sure of part number but they seem hard to get hold of out of the gaitor kits

Try these, hd version. ;)
Lemforder or Febi for the upper and lower ball joints. Failing that delphi or QH.
Bearmach, brit, moog and the like are not as good sorry those who have fitted them. I have used all of these makes and now only use the ones I found don't come back after a year or two!! ;)

Pretty sure that's what I paid for Land Rover ones direct from the local dealer. It has changed since and moved to Lookers in Aston Clinton. BIG place next to the Arla dairy.
