front drivers door lock

Evening all , now you have to laugh , finally decided to sell the old money pit , could not find anything remotely resembling the drive or ride of me old girl , so bought another !!!!! , absolute bargain !! or so i thought . 3rd day in and i am locked out already !!!!! fob works all doors except drivers door wich the button goes to rise but does not come up fully then automaticly clicks back down . all other doors working fine off fob , but key in drivers lock does not click to open or turn far enoug in the lock . Any ideas ??? cheers

sounds like the lock mechanism needs to be stripped out and cleaned,also check actuation rods are moving freely and interior door release cable has no damage.Good luck.

Ah , but i have to get the door panel off to see the rods and actuators etc !!??? so without breaking the door panel ? any ideas?

pokedthe mechanism with a fishing rod stand and it released the lock , new cable required for internal door handl as had kinked .
