front disc dust covers

a friend was asking me today where was the best place to buy new front disc dust covers for her 2000 freelander as hers are rotten and falling apart,the discs and pads are due for replacement so it is the right time to sort the dust covers too but the dealer quoted price is £54 each,more than the discs and pads cost so I said I would ask if anybody knew of an after market source for something a little more sensibly priced

if its just mudshield leave them off ,they cause more issues than they solve

Very common problem on Freelanders, the steel they are made of is absolute crap. I don't know of an aftermarket manufacturer and am almost certain they are dealer only part at a ridiculous price
The dust shields for the Range Rover are a lot larger, last longer and are half the price !!

Mine disintegrated and I just left them off, the same as many on here.

the ones on mine are like new (freebie is 14yrs old)

shame as I planned to remove them altogether when I changed the discs
