Long read if you have a moment please.
So the old girl currently sat on 153k nearing 154k 2003 td6.
Today after about 90mile on the road dual carriage way 70mph iv got a little growl appear speed dependant and no change turning left or right,
and also a vibration foot on brake in R or D and full lock left.
If I put it in gear and hold it on the handbrake and get out it can be felt on both front wheels and driveshafts.
In my care from 130k its had.
Everything serviced new fluids ect.
Front end its had new...
Lower arms, droplinks, arb bushes, inner and outer trackrods,
Rear ends had....
Litterly everything, subframe, bushes, arms, ect ect,
Its never had the front diff/prop recall done old style guibo transfer box end and sleeve end on the diff.
So is it the splines that break up is it the splines on the diff stub or shaft end that goes?
Is it worth dropping the front prop and looking for dodgy splines?
Or am I just aswell getting a diff and a prop off a breaker?
Or has anyone think of anything I may be over looking?
Thanks.

I would go for your instinct and drop the prop, at least then you can also turn the front diff indépendant of the transfer box and see if the noise stays or goes. ;)

Here’s some info on the recall may help decide.

Well I'm ment to be at a drift day Sunday. Towing 168miles each way.
No where local has a diff and propshaft before i even look at it.
I see you get repair ends that have a new old style coupler and conversion ends. But neither would be here in time :(,
looks like il have to order and just be patient.

Looks like I might need to rent a 4x4 for the day.
