front diff pinion nut

Hi all, I'm just trying to replace the front pinion seal but the nut won't shift. It's not a left handed thread is it? I have a feeling there may be thread lock on it but thought I would check before the big hammers come out Thanks

Make sure the split pin is fully out before trying the big stick. I had to get a 36inch stilson on the housing and then a scaffold pipe extension on my socket bar before mine came off.
I can't remember the torque setting, but I do remember that it was pretty high.
If you have access to an pneumatic impact driver it should come off easily.

Just found the Torque setting it's 85 lb foot so it shouldn't come off without a lot of force

Split pin is all out. I tried my electric impact driver but it didn't move. I never had this trouble with the back one! I will put some heat on the nut and see how we go.

Got it off. Heat and impact gun got it in the end. It looks like thread lock all over the thing!
