Front Bumper

I need to replace the front bumper on my 2002 Td4 as it's damaged.

I understand that from 2004 onwards it's a facelift model and the headlights would also have to be replaced with the bumper if I went down that route.

I can get a 1998 bumper free of charge but don't want to fit it if there is any difference at all from my existing 2002 bumper. Can anyone tell me if there are differences at all between these bumpers?

Yes, the 1998 bumper will be grey & the 2002 bumper will be black but that's all I believe. If it's free, then maybe worth buying a can of plastic paint (satin black) & going for it. Make sure it's good proper stuff though or it'll start to flake off & look crap.

Thanks...I've just been looking at some cars on ebay and the two short vertical uprights either side of the grill (above the number plate) on the 1998 bumper appear wider compared to a 2002 bumper but I don't know if my eyes are playing tricks???

EDIT: the bumpers are definitely different...apart from the two vertical uprights being wider on the 1998 bumper the horizontal slit above the number plate is also shorter in length. The differences can clearly be seen on these pictures...
