Hi all, my first post. Disco 300tdi 1995 'M'.

I have looked thru umpteen threads before posting but can't find solution. I recently took my car to a garage with front brakes locking, they replaced pads and checked everything and returned it. First sign of rain the brakes locked again so I took it back but they're baffled.
I don't have to brake hard for them to lock and it slides in a straight line (not pulling to one side). Obviously the garage checked pistons, calipers etc.

Bottom line is they have now sent me away saying maybe try a Land Rover specialist as they would just be guessing and my days of getting under a vehicle are long gone.
Thanks in advance, Jimmy.

Or brake bias valve faulty

thanks Andy. is that the one bolted to n/s inner front wing with pipes from front and back brakes.

just looked in manual and says it is a regulator for the rear brakes. does anyone know if a faulty one (rear brakes pressure regulator) can have adverse affect on front brakes only I'm off to Cornwall in two weeks so getting pretty desperate.

hello all, quick update on my brake problem, front cleaned, checked, new pads.
rear, callipers, pistons cleaned greased, new pads and discs.
rear brake pressure regulator tested and okay
tyres and wheels swapped round to all different positions (i had a puncture a while back and left spare on car and put repair back on rear door)
alas none of this has helped and myself and two garages are now stumped.
DESPERATE.

Just on the off chance, do you know for a fact that the rear brakes are actually working. Have you checked each wheel braking with the wheel off the ground.
You don't happen to have a faulty rear flexible brake pipe (or two if abs) restricting flow.
The only other thing, have you checked the pipe to the rear brakes along it's full length. It's not been hammered flat at some time at some time has it,. again restricting flow.
