Hi. Ive just aquired a front axle that mainly appears to be off a series vehicle except it has 2 steel oval shaped pieces on top of the axles roughly where coil springs might be mounted on later landrovers, except they are not quite the right shape for take coil springs. It also has steel reinforcement running along its length which looks part of the original pattern. The number on the axle is 91116946 followed by a triangle. Any idea anyone?

I was going to say is it one of those milatry one we have seen before on here,
but have to wait for mad to check its not off his Frontera

Hi guys. Been trying to download a pic of the axle to help you identify item, but aswell as being a newby with Landys im also fairly dumb with computers & have had zero success. I'll try again when I have the nessessary communication skills. Thanks anyway.

tis simple... have a look just below where yer type yer reply. it says " go advanced" click that...then look above where yer type, just next to 'fonts' and sizes' . yule see a paper clip icon, click that. then just use the browse botton to find yer piccy

Thanks for that. Tried this, but cannot post image as I'm told. ''1.62 mb excedes forums limit of 19.5 kb. The pic was taken on my friends camera & downloaded to my computer & appears tb too large an image to send.

hope this axle image comes through!
