Yeah my RVF400, need to get it back on track soon!
Got a Blackbird myself but have not yet done a track day, let alone have a dedicated bike. Must be a blast!!
Videos are very scenic indeed. Disco in front. Lift by the looks but couldn't see the tyres from vdis I have watched so far.

It is great on track, you find out what a bike can really do! I think you'd find my garage interesting...

The Disco was lifted with Insa Turbo tyres, they were mud terrain but I can't remember which ones, I was in a standard Fender with General Grabber AT2's.

There are a few bits missing from the uploads and it was where it was a little bit rougher, it'll be no probs for a standard Landy

I did Hawkstone last weekend and was very impressed by my standard Disco, so have just ordered myself an OS map of the Bala area to have a peruse.

Hi Seanlandy
if you fancy doing the wayfarer at sometime, pm me or Lowlight. We could make a day of it. I was with Lowlight on his wayfarer trip, we had a good day out.

I might just do that, thanks. I am trying to get a few friends to join me too. How many is too many for this sort of run?

It would be worth having a look at the sticky at the top of this section for info before you start get out there or have a look here:
Green Lane Association Ltd. - Code of Conduct.

The blue Disco on my Vids was Kenlandy by the way! I would say 3 - 4 would be OK but Ken will know better.

I'm hoping to get out again week after next (24th March) at the moment I'm totally reliant on Ken as a guide but I'm hoping to find a couple of lanes myself so I can contribute!

Id say 6 is a max for group.if kens up for trip out nxt few weeks im up for it..

If u run 2 groups and stay on cb you can usually follow on ok with no troubles

I prefer 4 but usually end up with 6 but thats the max i will take

Hard enough to keep 6 together on roads between lanes and a CB helps a lot

Also if you meet another group coming other way more vehicles is more hassle

Are you planning a trip soon Stu? I am getting together all the maps for the Bala area, and a mate of mine has Memory Map which seems a good bit a kit for accurate locating of routes etc. I might put it on my birthday list for next month. Now I need to get a cb sorted too. I have seen them on ebay for about £50 or so which I think is reasonable. I don't want to spend too much at the mo as I think other things are likely to take priority. Tyres and the like.....:)

Hi guys
As Stu says 4 is good but a max at 6. If you lads are up for a day out
in the next few weeks, just let me i know, i'm sure we could arrange
a meet on a day that suits all.
would be great to meet a few new faces.

Haigy would be great to see you again my friend. Met up with Lowlight
a couple of weeks ago, A great guy he did really really well for his
first time, at one point i think he did better than me lol.

Yea defo pal got mot this weekend then will get sumin planned.

As for people who want cb. There are many on ebay but you never no what your buying so shop around and buy a full set up from a dealer usually about 70 for everything and ne issues you can ask them questions.

Along with my mate and his Defender, another has a Hyundai Santa Fe. He is a bit cocerned about ground clearance etc. What do you think? Possible for the Wayfarer, those of you who know the terrain?

sean you got email !!

if theres a few of you and you got low ground clearance then chip in and get a set of waffle boards (around £50) got so many uses and have made life a lot easier in the past from getting out of ruts to crossing holes , going up rocks etc

not sure how much clearance your m8's motor got but theres a bit of wash out west end of wayfarer but if you watch the line to take should be fine. See freelanders on wayfarer regularly

Hi All we always seem to end up in the peaks laning not complaining we love it but would be nice to see other areas as well so if there is room for us to tag along on a trip that would be FAB.
