French chalk, How to ?

Hi got the Dreaded Squeel from my fan belt and its finally done my head in enough to seek a solution. ive tried the penny trick it worked for while, i've tried a new tensioner, ive tried new tensioner bearings, ive tried a new belt. SO next up ...

Ive heard french chalk can make a difference any suggestions on how to use it ?? do i just rub it in the teeth of the belt ?

Sounds to me like you have something slippery on one of the pulleys OR one of the pulleys isn't rotating as fast as it should

wait until yer missus aint looking and then have her talcum powder away. A quick does of that inside the belt should sort it out.
