Hi all,
I have just bought a freelander year 2000, di diesel.
Because I have never had one I would like to ask a question.
The car is only 76000miles, it starts well and does not make any knocking noises whatsoever and drives well but the engine as I start moving and until it doesn't rev a bit the car shakes a bit, since it revs higher it seems to be smoth.
Because i have never driven a diesel engine it sounds a bit strange, just wondering if it is normal or there would be any problems, would appreciate your help,
thanks

Hi,
I fell it more if driven in 3rd gear at low revs as I am driving around slowly, and the cluch pedal catched up very low, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

It's a surprisingly revvy turbo diesel. Give it a little more right boot, there's not much torque between 1000-2000rpm, so more loud pedal and less time slipping the clutch makes it much smoother (at least in mine).
