Ive been having trouble with rear diff. Totally replaced with a refurbished Landrover dif and I recon it’s still noisy anyone else with same disaster

Sounds like it weren't the diff after all then if it was replaced with a rebuilt one and still noisy, probably IRD or prop bearings.

If you think a diff or box is noisier than it should be, you can always try the Lucas additive. Will quiet things down.

Welcome to the forum

It's not unknown for the Freelander 2 wheel bearings to be the cause of the noise. Sometimes difficult ter tell untill the bearing breaks down.

Thanks just ordered 2 propshaft bearings I recon the rubber has seen better days in the ones on the car. Recon I have neglected the wife’s car to long
