Freelander2 driver,s door locking problem

My driver,s door will not lock using the remote but all the other doors will.To make the vehicle theft proof I lock the door from the inside by using the small lever on the door then get out and use the lock button on the remote which locks all the remaining doors.To enter the vehicle I press the remote unlock button once and the drivers door can be opened,press again and the remaining doors open.
The small lever mentioned previously seems quite stiff to move as if something needs lubricating.The drivers door won’t lock using the dashboard button.

The door latch need certaintly to be changed. You can find a new generic one for cheap.

What is the door latch,is it expensive and could I change it myself,I’m fairly good at doing some things to the vehicle

It needs a new lock assembly in the drivers door.
