i am new to a site like this but was wondering if anybody can help ive searched and found new parts for a total rebuild of my ird box but need to know if there is a way to get the cooling plate off with minimal damage would appreciate any help no matter how small thanks

hi fanatic it would save me a small fortune and i would be able to help others save money because they r a nice car and it would stop fat cat garages raking a small fortune off already poor drivers

Seriously I would suggest a diff and vcu as cheap as possible-get shot of it as the 1.8 are an on going disaster.(check the freelander section)

Having a Mate who runs a machine shop and does squad cars locally-even he says 1.8 k series are a nightmare.
