Hi all

I have taken my Freelander to the garage to have it looked at as it sounds terrible...! They said its the transmission box which will cost me just over a grand..! 800 quid part & 3oo quid to fit it..! Any1 else had one of these go wrong how much did it cost...!

They also said that they could put on a second hand one for 350 quid Plus fitting..!! Has any1 else had second hand parts put on & how reliable have they been.

What a time for me motor to blow up..

HI mate

Its a 2 litre XEDi manual gearbox I am not sure about gearbox, IRD, or diff..! I can find out, is there anywhere I can get a price list for parts on a Freelander?.. It happens only when the wheels are turning..!

I will phone em & ask the question...!
