Freelander TD4 Tailgate window adjustment

Hi All,

So my tailgate window regulator jammed last week and I bought the repair kit online and put it back together as per the video instruction provided with the kit. It was only one of the cables that was jammed so not a big job really just about 15 min to take out the regulator and repair it but now I have a problem with window closing too high on left side so I cant shut the gate. I have tried to adjust the window clip to the max down but its still sitting one inch higher on left side. However, right side is one inch lover. Is this something that can be fixed by any other adjustment? I have tried to roll any spare cable around the little spool drum and almost snapped my nail trying to do that so the whole setup is pretty tight. Both window clips showed level at the time when I fixed the regulator cable. The spring tensioner is full opened now that window has been used.
Any ideas? Cheers

I'd change the other cable as well.

Yep, changed all cable at the time even though one was faulty.

Did you buy the ready made cable kit or the one where you have to glue the ferrules on ?

Bought the ready made kit but the problem was the spring that came in the kit was too small and allowed one side to close one inch higher. I fixed it by putting a bolt behind the spring to make it less flexible.
