freelander td4 help

i`m looking to buy a freelander td4 gs on a 51plate it has covered 100.000 miles is there anything i should looks for or noises to listen for before buying. thanks.

Search the forum for advice on TD4s. There's lots of good advice on how to check transmission/drivetrain as well as engine problems or niggles. It may take a couple of hours & is well worth doing. Don't be put off buying by the seemingly large amount of concerns as it's the same for most cars. This site does however, I've found, have the richest source of info. for the Freelander TD4 or otherwise. Good luck whatever you decide.

Hi bluape,If it,s a freelander you,re after make sure it will be a TD4 forget the rest.Secondly make also sure the prop shafts are still there because some people are doing away with them.What I mean is, better they are there and if you also decide to take them off it,s your option.

Nowt wrong with td4 gs .But when (not if) the firkin thing goes wrong even the BMW bit does, shop about fer parts there are some robbers out there and some are as bad as the main stealers mine dont leak never as

picked up the td4 today for
£2650 51plate,fsh,tax,motd well impressed.
