Hi Guys.

My name is Dylan we have had the car in the family for a few years. I am tasked with fixing it.

3 issues looking for advice:

1. The electric window in the boot of the car works intermittently or not at all (stays open or else clicks up and own 2cm repeatedly. I removed the fuse for the tail door/ window which worked but disabled the door opening and closing lock.

2. The electric sun roof is rusted and doesn't work. A bit of it is overlapping the roof of the car. Any idea how to get it flush. I hit it with a hammer ...no good... its glass so cant thump it..I removed the fuse which stops it clicking.

3. At 60 mph the car start vibrating and making loud noise: is the answer below correct:and how much should this cost?
"I cured mine by replacing both swivels & swivel bearings, radius arm bushes panhard rod bushes, rear trailing arm bushes wheel bearing and seals and steering damper in that order. wobble didn't go until I fitted the noo steering damper."

Well done to joining us on the misery section of whoa.
1. Does the tailgate window work okay from the console switch okay or still the same. Are you able to use the fob key to open the doors and and drop the tail window. Also using your ignition key to raise the window. The tailgate window door handle is this slack or feel floppy.
The sunroof sounds it reached its final life. If badly rusty might be worth replacement.
3not to sure with the noise as it can be bearings worn props doing this is it wining high pitch or droning could simply be tyres.
4fuel gauges are fickle mine says okay then drops to flashing red. Simply monitor your regular fuel usage in other words what goes in must go out.

Have you checked the cable is intact?

The sunroof mechanism is worn out and rusted, so will likely need replacing.

Does it have 4 identical tyres fitted, with the least worn on the rear?
If not, then get 4 identical tyres ASAP, before the AWD system explodes.

That's for a live axled land rover, such as a defender / discovery 1 / range rover classic, possibly a Discovery 2 / Range Rover P38, but nothing later, and absolutely naff all to do with a freelander.
