freelander td4,blowing black smoke

hi,new member saying hello and looking for help with a freelander tde4.
blowing black smoke,emissions light on ,showing booster pressure fault.

crankcase breather filter, on top of engine just in front of injectors, about £15, takes about 1/2 hour first time.

or

solenoid boost control filter, hangs down back of engine, looks like old time fuel filter.

to name but two potential causes,

good luck and welcome, do a SEARCH on these items and the answers will miraculously appear.

Mate of mine had same problem on the M6 turned out to be one of the turbo hoses had spilt.

is it on fire?

My money is on split or delaminated turbo hose.

hi,again replaced boost pressure sensor,still black smoke,emmissions light came on again after 30 miles,has stayed on.
any ideas please

when you say it was plugged in and had a boost pressure fault, was it overboost or under boost?

can anybody help spent that much money cant go back.
had pressure test no 3 low.
had head off valves sticking head skimed all valves reseated.
a few weeks before had 4 new injectors . high pressure pump. maf.
pipes and hoses good. still blowing black smoke on tickover.
wont pass emissions boot it it clears then black smoke again. took the turbo off to day seems ok. any ideas help.

I had the same problem last year put ya foot down and looked like I was in the london riots....

It was a split intercooler hose (the right angled one) piece of cake to replace...:blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla::blabla:
