Hello Everyone! This is my first posting can you please help?:)

About 18 months ago rear regulator cables in the channel guides packed up, took it to a garage and they replaced the whole unit.
Out shopping today, went to open the doors left my finger on the control fob to long and the tailgate window opened. No problem I thought, just get in and use the switch on the dash, window only raised about 1" then dropped down again. Tried to use the key in the lock but had the same again, went up slightly then back down.
Tried to recalibrate, but failed. Getting a warning bleep now when trying to close the window using the dash switch and when I lock the doors the horn no longer sounds as a warning that the window is open.
Any ideas please?

Hold the button to close it, and get someone to help the window up to get it closed again.

Take the door trim off and lube up all the cables/rollers etc and work it up and down a few times, may need said person to give you a hand again to do that

Had a good look Sunday and I found that the wire cables in the guides have started to chaff and causing the problem.
Bit annoyed as I only replaced it 18 months ago. Still it could be a lot worse I suppose.

Thanks anyway,
Richard
