Howdy all, I have an '05 TD4 SE Freelander 3DR. Hopefully I'm getting some 'Sport' alloys for it, just wondering how hard these are to get a hold of and what sort of price I should expect to pay for them? Many thanks in advance

Dan

Those are the wheels im going to collect this afternoon actually. What sort of price do these normally fetch?

Cheers, Dan

not sure, maybe look at completed listings on e-bay - i reckon if you get that set of 4 for around £400 you've got a good deal.

Thanks for the advice mate, I'm just wondering how I go about looking at completed ebay items? Not quite sure how to do that?!?

Thanks again mate, Dan

i think you have to be an e-bay member to view completed listings - do your search then scroll down on lh column - click box to see ads. - not sure how far back they go. Did u get the sport alloys - r u happy with 'em?

Yeah I picked them up last night and put them on this morning. Im really happy with them, they're practically brand new! The have only done 50 miles as the guy took them straight off a Sport when he bought it new and kept them in the garage till I bought them. Makes my freelander look so much different. However I was quite suprised when fitting them, by how little room there is behind the front alloys against the cup that hold suspension spring, and also on the rears the gap between the alloys and the plastic inner wheel arch liner. I've done about 50 miles today with them fitted and seem fine so all is good! I'm just glad I bought them now 'cos I've rarely seen them for sale.

Cheers again, Dan

I think these sport alloys make the F/L look beefier - however the tyre's aint cheap for em 18in 235x 60's if I recall? Again ebay may be the place to look at tyre renewal time.

Yeah I noticed that the tyres weren't the cheapest on the shelf! I'm fortunate enough to have a friend with his own tyre shop so that'll help me out a lot!!
