Hi Guys,

Done a search because I know its been addressed earlier but cant seem to find anything.

Anybody got a name, address, website for a company that produces sill covers/ protectionfor the freelander sills. Took the car off road and the sills took a bit of a bashing
I'm thinking that I just get the sills roughly back into shape and put some sill covers over the top.

I have seen the covers and even saved the website but reformatted the PC and favorites have been wiped.

Thanks in advance

Andy

They are dear, for all they are, tread plate pressed through a roller. You get a small tube of silicone and 6mm rivets, so a large rivet gun is needed. I didnt bother, just used M6 bolts on the bottom holes only. They take forever to dull down, fine if you have big alloys, but with steelies it just was too blingy. Going to get em sprayed gun metal to darken em down.

Land Rover Experiencehad hem fited to all their silver Freelander 1s. Looked the part.

Can believe they look a little out of place an blingy if they and the vehicle don't suit. They also come in black, IIRC. Did G4 use them?

Cheers

They suit any FL1, in any paint colour. The problem is Mantec make them shorter than the actual length of the sill. The plastic part of the front 1/4 panel is not covered. The lines just look wrong. LRexperience have the extra section over the plastic, it just blends the whole bottom profile when they cover the whole sill. Mantec dont do the additional section. I have had mine for nearly 5 years, they only came in alum back then.

ther is also the bearmach rock sliders which i have on mine. nice but quite expensive.

Those rock sliders look nice bu since the sills are already beaten up a bit, I just need something to make it all look a little neater.

Then just got to sort out the huge scratch/ dint from the small child on a bike without brakes that ran into the side of the car as I was driving home the other day. What can you do, a second earlier and I would have ran him over so at least only metal was damaged.

What p***ed me off was the stupid woman that came running over and accused me of causing the crash when I was just happily driving down the road. While I was arguing with her that there were no give way markings and I was doing nothing wrong, the kid rode off. Left me with no one to blame.
