Hi was just wondering how much I should expect to pay for a full service on my free lander been quoted 155 bloke said transmission fluid is 45quid on its own, is this average pls
Thanks :)

Hi, i recently serviced my Freelander myself.....not too difficult....but only if your confident/have tools/ramps etc...

From what i remember, the gearbox oil is different from the rear diff....i did have some problems sourcing the gear oil it but bought it on ebay/next day delivery....you can change the whole gearbox oil (time consuming refilling it tho) but i only topped up the rear diff...

Any how i am sure the gearbox oil only cost around £15.......diff oil was only £10 from a motor factors....

Lots of info on here for it all...

Cheers

If you can, get someone to help/ guide you. It's not that scary doing a service once you know where the bits are. You'll save yourself a fortune in the long run.

Post in the freelander section, you'll find loads of help as and when you need it.
