Hi All

I have 3 fobs with the car and only one works.

Replaced batteriesand tried to resync but no good.

Phoned dealer and told £35 to resync fob to car and will take a few minuites, drove to dealers and told will take 45 mins to 1 hour and will cost £40 to £60 and this may not work anyway.

I know I am an old git but why dont the garages have a device to see if the fob transmits at least before you have to pay to be told yours is duff.

Way back when I was in short trousers we had a device to test TV remotes. it did not test the reciever of course but at least you could tell the remote was giving out a signal.

Anyway does anyone know what frequency the fobs transmit at?
Or better still a reciever box.

Regards Fred

Garages are there ta make money. Anything they do, they charge for. I know it's a pig...

UK is 433MHz.

Do you know you have to press the button 5 timed in quick succession to get it to synch? It's in the handbook

Thanks both ive have tried the 5 times in quick succession and the 7 times to the right and once to the left but it still does not work.

Hippo thanks for the frequency

eBay has a Sealy remote tester anyone tried one?

I know I will have to pay to have the fob linked to the car but I don't want to pay garage charges to be told none of my fobs work and then have to buy a new one, tight I know but I had 40 years as a service engineer and would not have had the gaul to charge someone without repairing the item. We would test TV remotes before we sold them a replacement.

Regards Fred
