Freelander rear window

G'day, just bought myself a 99' diesel Freelander. The back door someimes opens and sometimes doesn't. Is this a common fault - if so how is it fixed. Also one of the keyring remotes doesn't work, i've tried changing the battery but it didn't do the trick. Can anyone recomend a source for a new one? Cheers Dyledge.

did you re-synch the key fob after changing the battery?
