Yes I have brought a gaylander and it has problems please help.

Problem 1: When idling the oil warning light flickers it idles at 750rpm and the oil light goes off at 800rpm.(this only happens when oil is hot 10W/40 in engine changed yesterday with filter)

Problem 2: Ticking sound form engine sounds like tappets (I know there are no tappets but thats what it sounds like.)

Problem 3: HDC fault light stays on.

Apart from this the car runs great sitting 70-80mph no problems.

Problem 3: HDC fault light stays on.

Make sure HDC is not switched on!! Otherwise, most likely the cables in the gearlever. Look under the rubber gaitor (which just clips on and off) and you will see a lead. Check for looseness/corrosion, etc. Try reseating connector.

Cheers

1. Sounds like a dodgey connection on the oil pressure switch, Im sure someone had a similar problem a while back

2. The 1.8 has tappets. 16 of them, they never need to be adjusted as they are hydraulic and the oil keeps them in check. There are engine additives that help sticky tappets.

3. Just as Rriggs said, have a look-see
