Hi all, hoping you can get me out of the 5hit

this is my first post so please be gentle,

righty ive got a 2001 freelander td4 van, 140k

and the handling is bad and i mean really bad i bought it like this very cheap,,
when i say bad its like a boat and have nearly crashed a few times going around bends, if i was to do over 60mph in a straight line then take a bend i would crash its that bad.

it is wollowing around,, its like the body goes one way and the wheels go another,,
i was thinking shocks,, or could it be something else bushes or something,,

problemo 2
big clunk from rear think its diff, its it and easy job the change the bushes and theres the cheapest place to get them from,

problem 3 few lights on the dash,, down hill thinggy, but drives fine,, abs light, stop light,, but been driving it for 7 months now no probs,, but when i go around corners and round abouts its screeches like am doing 300mph even know am only doing 20 - 30 mph..what can it be......

cheers
folks

hope ya can help.

check your rear diff bushes ASAP could have one collapsed and this would be a sirus problim . . . . . .

ive had a look underneath and seen play in the diff, when dumping the clutch,

but are you refuring to the handling problem, that the diff could be the course.

thanks

Check your shocks by leaning on each corner, it should return to its normal position, if not the shock is bust.
Check your antiroll bar bushes and linkages for wear.
The clunk is most likely to be failed diff mounts but could be the rear sub-frame coming loose.
The HDC and ABS lights could be faulty abs sensor, but first check the switch on the gear stick they have been known to cause faults. Do search on the 3 amigos.
