hay all my dt4 is giving me a hard time dont know whats wrong struggle to start then goes fine for a few km
then mil comes on can feel loss of power through turbo then a few km later cuts out.if switch off for few seconds while going then on again fault goes away for few kms but gets worse after a few times then cuts out no starting after about 20 min starts again did do diagnostics but shown no error or code even with mil light on.

jobs done so far
drained all oil
replace all filters, clean tank mounted pump, cleaned pressure sensor and cam sensor, bypassed egr and cleaned intake manifold also cleaned hhp pressure regalator
any advice please?

You say you cleaned the tank pump are you 100% sure it's working? Also if you've got a in tank pump have you got a pump under the bonnet, if so is this filter new?

What are you using to read the error codes? If the MIL light comes on, my understanding is that there will be an error code - it's how the system is designed to work - ie if there are any problems causing the emissions of the car to deviate from spec sufficiently the MIL is lit and a code for why the MIL is lit will be recorded.

You appear to be posting this multiple times - only once will do, more than that people get a bit irritated.

Surely this is a problem with the low pressure fuel pump(s)? As Lowbank says, year and mileage would help. In fact, it would help with almost any question...

sorry im new checked pumps is fine its a bmw motor think 2002/3 model that what i know and its got 126000km on the clock, used a diagnostic
code reader but says there is no code stored in module even on a live scan if check IM readiness then also says mil light on and on dashboard

pump pushes about three bar after a while when the pumps stop then the pressure drop after a few seconds also changed
crankcase breather was very dirty cleaned airflow meter and crank sensor on top of the head, thanx for the help so far

You're right on the changeover, but I think you only have the in-line fuel pump inside the right rear wheelarch. At youer mileage it's about due to go.

Also, at least for the EU, only post-2004 diesels have full OBDII compliance so your scanner might be bull****ting.

Listen to the fuel pump priming - is it noisy?

there are two pumps one in the tank and one just before the diesel filter, both sounds fine removed the tank one and cleaned it nicely
yes seems these people are strict here lol

So is it facelift model?
Is the pump and diesel filer just in front of the rear drivers wheel?
have you drained the water trap? see pic below for the plug to unscrew.

Is it this style of filter and has that been replaced.
my car had the mil light on and my diagnotics were not getting code either.

Didn't spot the front-bottom word in that North-country town name, though, did they?

I think you need to road-test it while monitoring fuel pressure in real time. Our pump went recently and did similar things to yours, even threw an occasional check engine light, but no codes. Changed fuel pump, problem went away.

it happens only after a while of driving first cut the turbo then cuts the diesel but goes again after you switch of an back on again then fine for a few km and then again

used a diagnostic code reader
One would hope you used a diagnostic code reader, not a lawn mower, hair dryer etc.
Which "diagnostic code reader" did you use? If you do not know what year your car is, usually its on the ownership docs but maybe not where you are, what is the VIN number - that can be used to determine the age.
