Got my Freelander a few weeks ago and signed up here. I've noticed that non Freelander owners seem to have some sort of misplaced "superiority complex". They give a lot of stick to Freelander owners with the "wouldn't pull you out of bed" and "hairdresser's car" remarks..... but seem to spend a helluva lot of time reading the Freelander forum and dishing out the abuse. My message to the "non-Freelander-my-knob's-bigger-than-yours" fraternity is simple. It's often not the car but the driver that is at fault when a car performs like a bag of spanners. So it seems that yer discoverys and the like do give you better performance in adverse conditions (the current new Ice Age being the perfect example).... but that you reaaly need it to make up for your inadequate driving skills. My Freelander might not be the ultimate 4x4 but it hasn't slipped or skidded once since I got it 4 weeks ago.
Still at least while your crap driving is being covered up you look all macho and tough.... eh? :)

Cheers

Oh will they never give up:rolleyes: ... yes we know you all love your "cough" 4x4's but we don't care in the slightest, we just love winding you lot up cos' it's just FUN:mooning:

:clap2: well said bluey, I was thinking the same! One of the posts on here was from a member talking about his positive experiences with his Freelander in the snow, practically the whole thread is comments from inadequate Disco and Defender owners. If they really owned these vehicles then why are they in here so much?!?

My Freelander has been fantastic and carried my family around in warmth and comfort for the last week with no journey too difficult.

Nowt wrong with Freelanders or their owners.

The tratta drivers only come on here looking for man love. They're on the wrong board for that. A few are helpful. The rest live their lives longing for a Freelander.

Sorry for all the abuse would be a start. Although I've noticed you'd become quite helpful recently. You going through the change? Be getting a Frelander next. :p

I'm sat in mintys with warm water and central heating and been forced to eat properly and control me sugar levels. but don't panic normal service will resume in Jan when I'm back in the icebound fook orf cold pikey wagon. & me sugar levels get back to their normal jumping about all over the place state..

And as for the S word not a chance :p :p

It's a Land Rover ,us Land Rover owners should stick together.
Freelanders can't be worse than other Land Rovers :)
