FREELANDER mk1 new front prop shaft gaiter

Hi guys!

I have been told that a need to replace a small part on my car as the front of my propshaft is leaking oil. Been told that I need a new rubber gaiter put on the prop shaft. I'm keen to get the repair done asap as I don't want neglect to turn into damage and hence further repairs.

I've had a quick look online but prices of £50-60 seems to be a lot for a little bit of rubber. I have seem similar items priced cheaper which look similar but not exactly the same. Wanted to ask the wise landy zone guys here if they had any thoughts on ideas?

It's not a common part to fail on its own. Normally the gaiter is damage when the wrong method of propshaft removal is used.

There are cheap gaiters about, but going OEM will pay dividends when you can fit n forget.

its a lot cheaper than a new propshaft - which used to be the case when I had mine .
