Hi all my 03 freelander 115000 miles goes into limp mode when around 2000 rpm but clears if you turn ignition on off but if left on engine does ,the code that I get is P1190 fuel rail Palausabilty first time this car has let me down but don’t want to get rid

Fuel filter and lp pump replaced about 4/6 months ago but only covered 2000 miles max in that time, also replaced washer on the hp pump solenoid valve, all boost hoses replaced and a vac hoses , replaced maf sensor,

Car is now in garage which they have changed the fuel rail sensor with a working one still no change , leak off test on injections should no4 was leaking more but not enough to warrant changing or to cause issues even they are stumped as now obvious signs what is causing this anyone on here had this issue that can help as can’t afford to get another car

This has come up a few times recently. I think changing the injectors cured one vehicle.
You need to read the live data, as something is giving reduced performance. The TD4 doesn't have a limp mode, it's just got a fault that is reducing its power and logging an implausible pressure code.
Has the rail sensor harness been replaced with the overly replacement? It's identified by green plug.
So first thing is look at the rail sensor harness and live data.

It’s still on original harness the live data is not showing anything to notice a fault other than injectors showing -3 if that means anything

I would be inclined to changed injector 4 for a known good used one, to see if that cures it, and you say you changed the O-rings on HPFP regulator, also test the fuel pump in the rear wheel arch even though you say it is only 6 months old, did you use a pierburg pump or was it an after market one? unplug the flow end put the hose into a bottle or container turn ignition to II and see if you have a good flow of fuel with any spluttering.

Was aftermarket lp pump but reading past threads turbo could a issue also and garage mentioned it was a bit noisy, also you say replace. Injector 3 is that what -3 means on the live data

Sorry that should have been number 4 injector if it was leaking as in your post, as a leak can effect the fuel pressure

Update

Garage had no luck finding fault but are thinking possible ecu fault so brought car back home as can’t afford to spend that money on it for ecu but did disconnect fuel rail sensor and ran with cutting out but did have a noticeable power loss so I have ordered a new sensor and harness to to try

Rail pressure depends on fueling requirements, not necessarily engine speed. The rail will normally show about 25,000 Kpa at idle and about 60,000 if revved to 3K RPM off load. Full power under load will give rail pressures of around 125,000 Kpa.

Cheers will plug it in again tomorrow and have another look

Still no luck I have changed the map sensor and also the fuel pressure control valve on the HP pump but have noticed the when left for a few day and cold it’s ok but once warm it’s back so bitting the bullet it’s going in next week for a set of recon injectors

Set of recon injectors fitted but still no change and MIL light on around 2000 rpm have even fitted another filter and OEM LP pump and still no change this P1190 code is a pain ...... someone on here must of had this fault and fixed it
