I was stalking a 2005 Freelander here just now on a site that gives all the NZ history for cars - ie you tap in its plate number and its license & warrant info etc is displayed. A generic panel is displayed giving government stats for the type of car, and this is what was displayed for 2005 Freelander...
Looking at the "Reliability" it gets a 5 1/2 * rating. That looks very good - but I wondered if it was one of those ratings where everything comes out high. So with everybody considering the Toyota Hilux to be the most reliable and indestructible motor out there, I looked up a 2005 one, it came back...
So the Hilux only gets a 4 1/2 * rating, making the Freelander significantly more reliable!
