Hi,

I'm new to the website and own my first Land Rover - a 2004 Freelander TD4.

I recently took it to the garage for some issues with linkages on the front passenger wheel. These were replaced and all is well, however, the mechanic advised me that one of the injectors is not working, which explains why sometimes it doesn't start straight away. He advised that it would cost up to £1000 to repair/replace.

So I'm wondering how essential it is that I resolve this issue? It's been running like it for almost a year now, with no (known) issues. Is it a job which I could do myself if I bought a new injector? I'd really rather not spend £1000 on a car which is probably only worth about £1500, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Simon.
