Would very much be appreciated if anyone can help with issue. Have a 2005 Freelander, battery was recently replaced. When I try to restart, all the dashboard lights come on, but engine will not start. I have 2 Key fobs for it, but neither of them, no longer seem to responding either. Changed battery in both of them also, but no dice. First time, I tried to start, the back window came down, but was able to put key in the back, and it went back up.
When I close and lock the vehicle, I can see the fast flickering of red symbol, which I take is showing, immobilizer is enabled, and get front tail light flicker flash as well. I've search all over, and see the procedure for manual door sequence for entering Emergency Access code, but cannot find generic code for Freelander as cannot locate Security Card for vehicle. Any ideas on this one?
Thanks in Advance..

There's not emergency access code for a 2005 FL1. It doesn't need it, as the immobilizer transponder is built into the key.
If the alarm/immobilizer ECU recognises the key transponder, then the alarm ECU will turn off the warning LED and allow the engine to crank. If the key transponder isn't recognised, then the start is inhibited and and a low/high tone is sounded while the key is held in the start position. If there's no tone, then the key/transponder is recognised and the fault lies elsewhere.
Test this and post back.
