So i guess that everyone is feeling sorry for me then, cos thats what i got. But i can take it. you guys are obviously far more experienced in these Landy matters than me- so when the inevitable happens and i get problems what do yo suggest i replace it with? I need a 4x4 to tow a horse trailer and deal with muddy fields as well as doubling as a family motor.h

Disco or a 110 CSW or even a RR but they tend to have a lot of problems wiv electrics & air suspension.

A diesel Freelander, seriously this has been said so many times before...do enough research on any car and you find that there are problems to watch out for. Freelander petrols are just a bad idea, too much of a gamble - Diesels are good though (later td4s are better).

Now that said....Discos and other family members will do the job too. I couldnt afford a RR or a Disco 3 and I think old discos look like a shed on wheels(personal opionion only). Freelanders are up to the job and dont look like a scrap of metal on your drive.

As i said so far so good with the petrol, but maybe I should have researched more before buying. Will be changing anyway sometime during 2008, just a matter of what to. Have to agree older discos do look like a box on wheels although probably a very capable motor. Was drawn to the Freelander by its styling, and has adequate room inside to suit for saddles and tack etc. Will probably take a close look at the diesel. Any major things i should look out for?
