hey good people of the forum I am looking about doing some engine work had a drive today and its not got that much umph to it just want to know how to get more power from the engine and where to get parts from ? cause I am coming up with nothing just coming up with the desiel version can anyone help ? Thankyou.

p.s I have posted this somewhere else but don't think it was right place to post it.

I done research via wikapedia and i think its a Kseries Engine which is in the rover so I don't know if I can get doner performance parts from that as in racing cams valves ht leads etc and other goodies

The K series is well catered for in the tuning world. It will make over 100bhp per litre ;)

well I have bought the uprated head gasket for the engine cause I found its a common thing for land rovers to blow a head gasket its already at 120bhp but still sluggish but I am having a full stainless exhaust system getting put in so its gonna be a big project over the upcoming months so I will provide piccys

I can get a 1.8 turbo rover engine from a breakers yard for £300 but its the gearbox and putting rear discs which could escalate

You need a complete good turbo ZT160 engine, ECU, engine harness and the the front section of exhaust pipe. The engine will bolt straight onto your current gearbox. You can make the rest of the exhaust system, you can use your flywheel too if the ZT version is different. The rest is messing around with the wiring and getting the ECU programmed to your Freelanders alarm system.
A turbo K series engine into the Freelander isn't that difficult ;)
Rear discs are completely unnecessary!!

But if you are gonna turbo it do it properly and get the 620 turbo lump would be nice if rover v8 would fit POWER!!!!

Not as easy as the gearbox/ IRD needs to be adapted to fit the T series engine. Engine mounts need to be made too.
Then the ECU needs to be sorted to work with the Freelander alarm.
Or an Emerald after market ECU can be used, but that adds over a grand to the price!!
