Freelander Cutting Out

Hi, recently bought a Freelander 1.8 Petrol '04.....it was a bit 'jittery' to drive but quickly discovered a small air pipe was off, replaced & it runs very smooth now.
When i am slowing down ready to stop at junctions/parking etc it is cutting out...do i just need to raise the idling speed a bit? It seems to sit at a good idling speed just now......
