How do I get to this? Does it just pull out? Plus my heater fan seems to have lost all but fast fan setting

Assuming it's a Freelander 1. The clock light is a small twist in bulb.
The fans resistor unit had failed, which gives full speed only.

No. Just the resistor pack. It's a few £ and a couple of minutes to fit.
This is the part number JGM000020. The LR part is expensive, but cheaper alternatives are available.

Thank you everyone I will be ordering this resistor repair and tomorrow will tackle the clock bulb.
